Ventilation and air handling maintenance

Air handling units, heat recovery units, MVHR and extract systems kept clean and moving the air they were designed to.

Fresh air without throwing the heat away

Ventilation that is not maintained moves less air and costs more to run. Blocked filters starve the fans, dirty heat exchangers recover less heat, and the people in the building notice the stuffiness first.

Our team has installed air handling at Barclays in Southend, heat reclaim ventilation at Kurt Geiger on Oxford Street, and heat recovery and smoke extract at Oliver Bonas in Southampton, so we know these systems from the inside.

For businesses and homes

Businesses

Questions we get asked

How often should ventilation filters be changed?

It depends on the system and how dirty the air is. Commercial air handling units typically need filters checked every few months, and home MVHR units every 6 to 12 months. We set a schedule that suits your equipment.

What is heat recovery ventilation?

A heat recovery unit passes outgoing stale air and incoming fresh air through a heat exchanger. The fresh air picks up heat from the stale air without the two mixing, so the building gets fresh air without losing much warmth.

Do ventilation systems really need maintenance?

Yes. Filters need changing, fans and dampers need checking, and heat exchangers need cleaning. Neglected systems move less air and cost more to run.

Do you maintain systems you did not install?

Yes. We maintain most makes of air handling unit, heat recovery unit and MVHR.
